The following is the probability associated with 1 unbiased coin being tossed n time(s) in succesion or n unbiased coins being tossed at the same time and the result recorded. The order of the results are irrelevant. There are 2 outcomes per coin toss, heads or tails. Each coin toss does not affect the outcome of further tosses.

The formula to calculate the number of possibilities is:
P = n + 1

The formula to calculate the probability of a single result is:

P = 0.5ⁿ

(n - x)!x!

Where n is the number of tosses and x is the number of heads or tails required.

To calculate the probability of at least x heads or tails we calculate all the probabilities from x up to n inclusive and adding the results together.
